    Rome, 9 July 2024 

    Bridgelaw Partners, with a multidisciplinary team led by partner Gianluca Benedetti, with attorneys Ivan Incardona and Valeria Lucia and Dott. Emanuele Navigli for tax matters, has advised Grand hotel via Veneto and its owner Dr. Carlo Acampora in the Euro 135 million facility made available by Oaktree Capital Management through a credit fund managed by Castello SGR.  Arendt Medernach has supported our team for Luxembourg law matters. Rothschild acted as financial advisor to Grand hotel via Veneto.  Oaktree and Castello SGR have been advised by the international firm AOS Shearman.

    The credit facilities are intended to finance, amongst others, the rebranding of Grand Hotel Via Veneto in Rome for the launch of the first Nobu Hotel in Italy, scheduled in Spring 2025. The hotel property will be completely renovated, featuring 122 rooms and suites (along with several facilities) designed by a well-known New York design firm.  This project represents the first luxury lifestyle hotel under the Nobu brand in Italy and the first Nobu restaurant in Rome. Nobu Hospitality is globally known for its 77 restaurants, 41 hotels, and 12 residences.

    Bridgelaw Partners in the sale of the Irrimec Group to Carlyle

    Milan, 27 October 2023. 

    Bridgelaw, with its Partner Gianluca Benedetti, has advised the founders of the Irrimec Group in the sale of the Italian company Irrimec and its French subsidiaries Otech and Otech 40 to a private equity fund controlled by Carlyle.  Our firm has advised the sellers in the due diligence, the legal and regulatory aspects, the structuring, drafting and negotiation of all transaction contracts.  Carlyle has been advised by Latham & Watkins. 

    Target companies operate in the design and construction of advanced irrigation systems for agriculture, including hose reels, hose reels with pump, irrigation booms, pivots, linears, control panels, irrigation accessories.   The acquisition fits with the creation, by Carlyle, of the Farmfront Group, a leading global platform of suppliers of advanced irrigation systems.

Gianluca Benedetti, has advised Italy Luxury Hotels in the acquisition of a prestigious property in Rome, Via Veneto, to become an All-Suite hotel.  The investment in the luxury property and part of the Capex for the restructuring and refurbishing works for the luxury suites have been financed by Banca Progetto and secured with the Fondo di Garanzia managed by Mediocredito Centrale.
